RotLC 021: Green

Disclaimer: Eira, her family, and all associated characters are mine but they are playing the sandbox created by the comic Hurrocks Fardel, now available on WebToons (it’s catching up to where we were, old pages are being redone so it is a consistent look). Whether any of this ends up canon depends entirely on the artist, but I’ll try to be consistent with what information they have provided. ^_^

Eira was picky about the strawberries for Auntie—if she was making jam, she would want some green ones in there to help set it. One of the cousins had talked to Mama about jam, and Eira had been stuck at the table. 

She wished they had netted the bushes, but Mama told the cousins that was too much work. 

Mama didn’t like strawberries. 

Eira helped herself to a couple of them, humming. As long as they weren’t green, she liked them just fine, and jam would last over the winter. Maybe it would help her avoid so many pickles.
