RotLC 026: Gardening

Author’s Note: Work is still bananas. Will hopefully be better by the end of the week. Got one thing taken care of today at least, and another is halfway done…

Disclaimer: Eira, her family, and all associated characters are mine but they are playing the sandbox created by the comic Hurrocks Fardel, now available on WebToons (it’s catching up to where we were, old pages are being redone so it is a consistent look). Whether any of this ends up canon depends entirely on the artist, but I’ll try to be consistent with what information they have provided. ^_^

Auntie left in the same type whirlwind that she came. Rather than immediately set her to the sword, Papa took her to where they grew the common crops that were split up between the five houses. One of the cousins’ wives was there with her toddler, the rest were seeing to the fields of grain they used for trade. 

“First, you have to get strong,” her papa told her, kneeling down with her in the dirt. “You can help pull weeds, and harvest what is ready.” 

Eira nodded eagerly, looking over the greens to see what belonged and what didn’t.
